Dr Trent Cross

Dr Trent Cross is a General Surgeon with a special interest in acute and emergency surgery and melanoma and sarcoma surgery.
He attained his primary medical degree at James Cook University in North Queensland and his Fellowship in General Surgery with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
Dr Cross works as a Consultant Surgeon based privately in Fourth Floor Surgery at the Mater Private Clinic. He is credentialed to admit and operate at the Mater Private Hospital. In addition, he has public surgical appointments at the Mater Hospital Brisbane where he specialises in Emergency and elective general surgery and Melanoma surgery. He is also a Surgeon at the Princess Alexandra Hospital Melanoma Unit.
Dr Cross holds a Lecturer position with the University of Queensland and is Senior instructor for the Royal Australian College of Surgeons Emergency Management of Severe Trauma Program. (EMST)
His subspecialty expertise in Surgical Oncology includes melanoma and other skin cancers and soft tissue sarcoma of the limbs. His General Surgical interests include hernia surgery, gallstones including bile duct stones, acute abdominal emergencies, and lymph node pathology.
